Jonathan Rupp, a Fort Hays State University campus police officer, graduated from the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center in Hutchinson on Jan. 15, 2016, with the 237th basic academy class.

Rupp was hired with the University Police department on Aug. 10, 2015.

Before that, Rupp spent seven years in the oilfield doing a variety of different jobs. Rupp enjoys hunting, fishing, golf and spending time with family and friends.

Rupp is a lifelong Hays residents and a Hays High School graduate. He and his wife, Amanda, have an 8-month-old son, Ivan.
