JUNCTION CITY, Kan. – The TMP-Marian girls’ soccer team improved to 4-1 with a 10-0 shutout over Junction City Saturday. The Monarchs led 6-0 at the half and scored the final goal with one minute to play which ended the match by mercy rule.
Bailey Hageman scored four goals to lead the Monarchs offensive attack. She netted back-to-back goals in the first half to put the Monarchs up 5-0 and scored the final two goals of the match. Kayla Vitztum scored one minute into the match and had the first goal of the second half and also added an assist. Rachael Hamel scored twice and had an assist while Ashley Ostrander and Aubrey Koeningsman both scored a goal.
Annaka Applequist had three assists.
The Monarchs are back on the road Tuesday when they travel to Garden City.
