The entire city of Victoria was without power for several hours Saturday night as crews from Midwest Energy worked to replace a substation transformer.
Midwest energy reported at 8:30 p.m. Saturday that the replacement transformer was on site along with a large crane needed to replace it. At that time, they estimated power may be out until 11 p.m.
By midnight, it was being reported back on.
“We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your understanding as we work to safely restore power,” said the company’s facebook page.
