Legislation has been introduced in the Kansas Senate to name the I-70 – Highway 183 interchange at Hays for Army Chief Warrant Officer 2 Bryan Nichols. The Hays native piloted a helicopter that was brought down by insurgents in Afghanistan last year.

Senate Bill 335 would name the interchange the CW2 Bryan J. Nichols Fallen Veterans Memorial Interchange.

The Ellis County Commission this week approved a resolution in support of the bill.
