COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A former Hays High and Fort Hays State standout has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference baseball Coach of the Year.
Jerod Goodale guided Colorado School of Mines within one game of capturing their first RMAC title since 1922. The Orediggers, picked fourth in the preseason coaches’ poll, ended the regular season with a 28-13 overall mark and a 21-7 conference.
Goodale was a standout catcher at both Hays High School where he earned All-Western Athletic Conference honors as a junior and senior and Fort Hays State where he was named Second Team All-RMAC as a junior and senior.
