Henrietta ‘Henri’ Baker

Screen Shot 2016-05-24 at 8.02.38 AMHenrietta “Henri” Baker, age 89, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016 in Marienthal, Kansas. Henri was born April 10, 1927 in Schoenchen, Kansas, the daughter of John & Josephine (Werth) Graff. A lifetime resident of Wichita County, Kansas, she was a farm wife, homemaker and loved gardening.

Henri was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Marienthal, Kansas as well as St. Mary Alter Society and the Daughters of Isabella.

On November 3, 1954 she married Herman F. Baker at Marienthal, Kansas. Herman passed away on March 4, 1989 in Scott City, Kansas.

Henri’s surviving family includes-

Six Children-

Terry & Beki Baker-​Goodland, Kansas

Galen Baker-​Leoti, Kansas

Mary Kay Ehrke-​Wichita, Kansas

Dina & Neal Lockwood-​Helotes, Texas

Claudine & Stan Schoendaler-​Olathe, Kansas

Eight Grandchildren-

Dustin & Ashton Baker, Camryn Ehrke, Jordan Ehrke, Michael Lockwood, Travis Lockwood, Cody Lockwood, Zachary Schoendaler, Alexis Schoendaler.

Two sisters-

Thelma & Bruce DeWitt-​Tavaras, Florida

Bernita George-​Carthage, Missouri

Her parents, husband, four brother including Victor,Blackie, Justin and Theodore Graff, Three sisters including Armina Palkowitsh, Pauline Schiffelbein and Delphine Schmidt, four siblings in infancy and a son-in-law Michael Ehrke precede her in death

Vigil Services will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marienthal, Kansas.

Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 am Thursday, May 26, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marienthal, Kansas with Father Benjamin Martin officiating.

Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Marienthal, Kansas.

Friends may call from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm Wednesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home in Leoti, Kansas.

Memorials may be given to the St. Mary Catholic Church Building Fund or the Leoti EMT’s in care of the funeral home.
