THOMAS COUNTY- A woman from Oakley was injured in an accident just before 5p.m. on Saturday in Thomas County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2005 International Truck driven by David L. West, 57, Oakley, was westbound on U.S. 24 nine miles east of Colby.

The driver attempted a turn onto southbound U.S. 83, was going too fast and overturned into the west ditch.

A passenger Susan E. West, 65, was transported to Citizens Medical Center. The driver was not injured. Both were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
