An area of low pressure will move across the Texas Panhandle and Oklahoma today bringing mostly cloudy skies and a chance of precip across Western Kansas.
Temperatures should be cool enough for mostly snow to fall across northern portions, a mix across central portions and mostly rain across south central Kansas.
The storm system will move out of the area tonight with decreasing clouds and snow ending across Central Kansas by midnight. Thereafter, a weak cold front will move through the area Friday and increase clouds across the high plains. No precipitation is anticipated at this time. Lee troughing will develop across eastern Colorado Saturday night into Sunday as the next storm system moves through the west.
