Hays Post

Collections have begun for the 19th annual Coat Drive. Coats, hats and gloves in good condition that are outgrown or no longer worn are being accepted.

The greatest need is for children’s sizes, but all sizes are accepted. Donations will be accepted from now until Oct. 5.

Drop-off locations at both Hays McDonald’s locations, Master Cleaners and Top Notch Cleaners. Apparel also can be taken to any Hays school.

There are no income requirements for receiving coats — anyone in need may receive one.

Coats will be distributed  from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 15 at Top Notch Cleaners and Master Cleaners. Those businesses will clean and repair items before distribution.

Leftover items will be donated to the Community Assistance Center or Goodwill.

The event is sponsored by Top Notch Cleaners, Master Cleaners, McDonald’s of Hays, Casual Graphics and Eagle Radio.
