HHS boys soccer wins first match under interim coach

JUNCTION CITY – Kellen Griffin is 1-0 as the Hays High interin head soccer coach. Taking over the reigns after Jim Maska’s stunning resignation earlier in the day, Griffin helped lead the Indians to a 5-3 win in Junction City Tuesday.

Ethan Nunnery recorded his third straight hat trick, scoring three goals including two in the first half helping the Indians build a 4-2 halftime lead. Jacob Maska and Zach Wagner also scored as the Indians improve to 5-5 on the year. They travel to Liberal Thursday.
