Third grade students from Amy Mayo’s class at Roosevelt Elementary School earned the reward of having a Silly String fight with Principal Lee Keffer Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 26.

The prize was awarded to the class that had the highest participation level for the fall fundraiser.

Roosevelt Home and School greatly appreciates Mr. Keffer “volunteering” for this assignment.

This was the first experience with Silly String for Mr. Keffer and several students.

One student commented, “I didn’t know Mr. Keffer could run – I’ve never seen him do it before.” And Mr. Keffer himself was heard telling students, “You never saw me in my prime.”

It was a great way to spend part of an afternoon.

Special thanks to parents, families, and community members who purchased items from this year’s fundraiser. Items will be delivered to students next Thursday, Nov. 3.
