Wet Weather Continues Through Thursday

A deep low will lift very slowly northward across the central Plains region though Thursday night.

During this period, cloudy, cool and wet conditions can be expected across western and central Kansas. The potential will exist for much of western Kansas to receive between one half of an inch to one inch or more of rainfall though Thursday.

The unstable air mass will also allow the possibility of a few isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms during the afternoon Wednesday and Thursday.

Today: Periods of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 7am. High near 54. North wind 11 to 16 mph becoming east southeast. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Tonight: Showers, mainly before 5am. Low around 39. South wind between 6 and 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Thursday: A 40 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 56. East northeast wind between 6 and 11 mph.

Thursday Night: A chance of showers, mainly before 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 36. North northwest wind between 6 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 65. Northwest wind between 8 and 11 mph.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 42.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 73.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 49.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 77.
