SMITH CENTER- Janice I. Kusel, age 81, passed away Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Smith County Memorial Hospital in Smith Center, KS. She was born July 7, 1935 in Dodge City, KS to Erle and Mamie (Bright) Bassett. She was a homemaker and dog breeder.

Survivors include daughters Julie (Rob) Reitz of Smith Center, KS and Janeen (Bryan) Befort of Lebanon, KS; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Janice Kusel Memorial Fund and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
