The Hays Larks have several events planned this weekend when they host Derby in a three-game Jayhawk League series at Larks Park. Saturday (June 24) is the annual Larkstoberfest celebration with a variety of German food available. It’s also Old Timers Night with all former Larks players invited to attend and be recognized prior to the game.

Sunday (June 25) is Stand Up 2 Cancer Night. Fans are asked to come to the game and honor friends and family who have had cancer. Fans will be given a sign to write their friend or family members name who has battled cancer and hold up in the 7th inning. There will also be a pink bat autographed by the Larks and two pink baseballs autographed by the Larks that will be raffled during the game.

Both games start at 7 pm. Free admission Saturday is courtesy of M&D Excavating and Nex-Tech. Sunday’s buyout sponsors are the Local 513 Area Council, Family Eyecare, Dr.s Hatten and Taylor and Downing Nelson Oil.
