HAYS, Kan. – The Hays Eagles Junior American Legion baseball team improved to 8-8 on the season with a doubleheader sweep of Great Bend Wednesday at Larks Park. The Jr. Eagles won the opener 9-7 then took the night cap 15-14, scoring the winning run on a wild pitch. Hays trailed 11-4 after four innings but scored 11 runs in the final three innings for the comeback victory.

Andrew Moore was the winning pitcher in the first game while Easton Wamser picked up the victory in the second contest.

The Jr. Eagles will take part in a tournament in Garden City this weekend.
