If you’ve ever dreamed of making it to the Olympics, now is your chance.
The Ellis County Fair is offering an Ag Olympics at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 20 at the Ellis County Fair Rodeo Arena.
Age groups are 7-10, 11-13, 14-17, and 18 and older. Those younger than 18 will need to have a waiver/permit signed by a parent or guardian (http://www.elliscountyfair.com/agolympics.html).
The fee is $25 per team, and there will be prizes.
Olympic events include wheelbarrow races, barrel racing with stick horses, round bale rolling contest, steer roping, greased pig (watermelon) obstacle course, egg toss, water trough relay, corncob relay, feed sack race, cow chip discus throw, nail driving contest and bean drop.
Everyone is welcome to participate. The fair has extended a special invitation to local businesses to form teams, challenge each other and bring employees/co-workers out to cheer their teams on.
