GOVE COUNTY – One person was injured in an accident just before 2p.m. Friday in Gove County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2017 IHC Rental Truck driven by Richard C. Allsop, 71, UT., was eastbound on Interstate 70 just east of the Grainfield exit.

The truck crossed the center line forcing an eastbound 2012 Ford pick driven by Joseph H. Duffy, 76, Petersburg, FL., into the median.

The Ford came back on to the roadway and struck the Rental Truck near the center line of westbound lanes.

A passenger in the Ford Leslie Tiernan-Duffy, 70, Black Hawk, CO., was transported to the Gove County Medical Center. There were no other injuries. All were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
