Hays City Manager Toby Dougherty announced Monday the appointment of Holly Dickman as the new water conservation specialist for the city of Hays. Dickman will assume her duties July 24.
Dickman, an Ellis County native, has served as the Ellis County Horticulture Extension Agent for the last 11 years. During this time, she has developed statewide education programs and factsheets that focus on water conservation in the home landscape. She received her bachelor of science in agriculture from Kansas State University.
“Holly has a solid background in water conservation from the horticulture perspective,” Dougherty said. “She has helped lead the community discussion of water conservation best practices for several years. Holly will be a strong asset for our organization.”
