TOPEKA –Jim Barnett, a recently declared candidate for the Republican nomination for governor, today announced the 2nd phase of a statewide tour focusing on agriculture, feedlots, seed, grain and value-added products.

This second phase of the Barnett Ag Tour will take place on July 27 and July 28 and include stops in Pratt, Greensburg, Healy, Colby, Russell, and Hays, Kansas.

Phase one of the tour included stops in Great Bend, Kinsley, Dodge City, Garden City and Scott City.

“Last week, on the first phase of the tour, numerous good ideas came forth regarding roads, water, and marketing,” Barnett said. “I look forward to hearing the issues that get raised later this week.”

“I grew up on a farm so I know the practical wisdom and the optimism that reside there,” Barnett said. “My #OneKansas agenda will be built around commonsense ways to move our state forward. As governor, my door will always be open to constructive ways to help.”
