LuVern Francis Lang

Hays, Kansas – LuVern Francis Lang, age 82, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at the Ellis Good Samaritan Center, Ellis, Kansas.
He was born October 18, 1929, on the family farm West of Ellis, Kansas, to Cacheus and Regina (Graf) Lang.

He worked in the oil fields on drilling rigs most all of his life and was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays, Kansas.
Survivors include three sons, LuVern Lang Jr. and wife, Pam, Tribune, KS; Norman Lang and wife, Rose Marie, LaCrosse, KS; Mark Lang and wife, Lori, Hays, KS; one daughter, Mary Engel and husband, Cliff, Hays, KS; one brother, Kenneth Lang, Evans, CO; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Patrick Lang.

Services are 10:00 A.M. Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 18th & Vine, Hays, Kansas. A Private family internment will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays, Kansas. A vigil service will be at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at Cline’s Mortuary of Hays 1919 East 22nd Street Hays, Kansas 67601. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Wednesday at Cline’s Mortuary of Hays and from 9:30 to 10:00 Thursday at the church. Memorial to the Lang family and to be decided at a later date.
