Heartland Dermatology is collecting supplies and food items that will be taken to Texas on Sunday to benefit those affected by Hurricane Harvey and flooding in the area.

In Hays, they will be collecting items on Thursday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at Heartland Dermatology, 2707 Vine, Ste. 10.

They will also be collecting items at the Heartland Dermatology location in Great Bend on Thursday and there are three drop-off locations Friday and Saturday in Salina.

According to Heartland Dermatology’s Facebook page, their goal is to fill a U-Haul trailer with supplies and Dr. Matthew Shaffer will drive the trailer to Texas on Sunday.

Among the supplies needed are: bottled water, dog and cat food, diapers canned goods and new and packaged bedding and blankets.

Monetary donations can be given through the United Way marked for “Harvey.”
