Attorneys Randy Clinkscales, Jennifer Walters and Adam Dees of the elder law firm of Clinkscales Elder Law Practice, P.A., traveled to Kansas City, Mo., on Sept. 15 and 16 to meet with fifty other leading elder law attorneys and key staff from across the nation.

Presentations focused on four key areas of operating a successful law practice: client retention, talent management, developments in the law affecting aging clients, and leadership and professional development.

Guest speakers included David Kolbe, CEO of Kolbe Corp., Clarence Thomson, founder of Enneagram Central, and Darin Adams from Infusionsoft. David Kolbe discussed important employee dynamics for working within a family business, while Clarence Thomson provided useful information on understanding personality types.

The group, celebrating its 15th anniversary, convened at the Kansas City Airport Marriott. Networking events were held in conjunction with the meeting schedule, allowing the attorneys and their staff members to share best practice ideas amongst their colleagues.
