Four teams of students have been added to the 1,000 percent Efficiency – Wall of Fame at Hays Middle School. The students built and tested bridges that were able to hold 1,000 times their weight.
When testing a bridge for its efficiency, the students divide how much the bridge holds in pounds by how much the bridge weighs in grams.
The students’ teacher is Brad Moritz.
Braxton Fritzler and Connor Dreiling. Their bridge has 1,102 percent efficiency. Submitted photoCole Schlautman and Kaden Hardin’s bridge had 1,481 percent efficiency.Left to right. (Ethan Carrillo, Trayton Roa), (Jake Taliaferro, Blake Schmidt). Both teams designed and built bridges that held more than 1,000 times the bridge’s weight. This adds them to the 1,000 percent Efficiency – Wall of Fame at Hays Middle School.
