Big Creek Crossing to host FHSU watch party Saturday

HAYS CVB

The undefeated Fort Hays State University Tiger football team will take on the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats this weekend in Maryville, Mo., for a chance to secure their first ever MIAA Football Championship.

For those Tiger fans not making the trip to Maryville, Big Creek Crossing is partnering with the Hays Convention and Visitors Bureau, FHSU Foundation, FHSU Alumni Association and Astra Bank to host a free FHSU watch party on Saturday, November 4 at Big Creek Crossing, 2918 Vine Street.

The CVB plans to stream coverage of the game on a 14-foot screen inside the former Midwest Drug location, a 20,000 square foot space at the south end of Big Creek Crossing. Some chairs and tables will be provided, but fans are invited to bring their own chairs to guarantee seating. Kickoff is at 1:30 p.m.

Concessions, such as chili, walking tacos, nachos, and hot dogs will be available at Snow Cone Express inside the mall, just across from the viewing area.

The community is also invited to tailgate prior to the game in the southeast corner of Big Creek Crossing’s parking lot starting at 10:30 a.m. Astra Bank plans to bring its grill and provide hot dogs around noon. Outside food and beverages and tailgate games are welcome in the tailgate area, but alcohol is not permitted.
