Fort Hays State University will honor military members and veterans in a Veterans Day event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, in the Memorial Union’s Sunset Lounge. A formal ceremony will begin at 11:11 a.m. in the Atrium.

A thank-you banner will be available to sign and will be displayed in the union the following week. T-shirts provided by the Student Veterans Association will be available for purchase.

Veterans will be featured on a wall display, and World War II veterans from Kansas will tell their stories in recordings made for a Leadership 310 team’s FHSU Veterans History Project.

The event is sponsored by the Center for Student Involvement; the Center for Civic Leadership; the Office of Inclusion and Diversity Excellence; the Student Veterans Association; the Student Government Association; and the Department of Leadership Studies.

Refreshments will be provided.
