MITCHELL COUNTY— Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspicious death in north-central Kansas.

Just after 1a.m. Saturday, officers and deputies responded to the 400 Block of East Court Street in Beloit for a report of an unresponsive person with a head injury, according to a media release.

Offices found a man dead from his injuries. The Kansas Bureau of Investigation, Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office and Beloit Police Department are investigating the circumstances and awaiting autopsy results. Authorities did not release the victim’s name or additional details.

At this time, there is no reason to believe there is a public safety concern.
