NW Kansas Economic Innovation Center expands its staff

NORTON — The Northwest Kansas Economic Innovation Center, Inc., a private operating foundation, last week announced the addition of two new staff members to help provide economic and entrepreneurial assistance to businesses and entrepreneurs in 26 northwest Kansas counties.

Michelle Prewo joins NWKEICI as the Business Office Manager to ensure efficient and organized operations to allow the President/CEO to focus on developing the relationships that will be necessary to support and encourage the innovative ideas of area business owners and entrepreneurs.

“As a lifetime resident of rural Northwest Kansas, I am excited to work for a foundation that is passionate about the sustainability and growth of the area,” she said.

Lucas Goddard joins NWKEICI as the Program Director to facilitate and market the programs developed by NWKEICI. Lucas is originally from Penokee (a small community near Hill City) and is a May graduate from K-State with a degree in political science.

“I am excited about the opportunity to work for NWKEICI. I believe that our programs can help reverse the population decline and promote economic prosperity in our region,” he said.

With the addition of these two staff members, the NWKEICI hopes to make progress towards its organizational objectives of creating economic opportunities, enhancing community services, and reversing the population decline in Northwest Kansas which will enhance the quality of life in the area served.
