Phelps files for re-election in Kan. 111th District

Commissioner Eber Phelps
Rep. Eber Phelps, D-Hays, has filed for re-election in the 111th District of the Kansas House of Representatives.

Phelps was first elected to the Kansas House in 1996, serving eight consecutive terms as well as serving as minority whip on the Kansas House Democratic leadership team. He was re-elected in 2016.

During the 2017 and 2018 legislative sessions, Phelps sits on the Higher Education Budget Committee as the Ranking Democrat, on the Appropriations and Local Government Committees, and on the Health Care Stabilization Fund Oversight Committee.

Phelps said this past legislative session was a productive one, getting us back on track in Kansas.

“I realize we still have a lot of work left to do, both in 2018 and beyond that,” he said. “I want to continue to be part of that process, and that is why I am running again.”
