SHERMAN COUNTY — Two people were injured in an accident just after 3p.m. Thursday in Sherman County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2000 Toyota Camry driven by Sarah Irene Trujillo, 29, Aurora, CO., was east bound on Interstate 70 two miles west of Kansas 184 exit in the passing lane.
The vehicle’s front tire left the roadway on the left shoulder. The driver over corrected and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle traveled into the south ditch where it rolled multiple times and landed on its top.
Trujillo and a passenger Quayle, Jerran Nicholas Quayle, 24, Denver, were transported to the hospital in Goodland.
Both were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
