
LARNED – Kendra Barker has been named as the Interim CEO for Pawnee Valley Community Hospital in Larned, according to the hospital’s Facebook page. Barker began her duties as hospital interim CEO on January 8, 2018.
The Larned hospital is a partner with HaysMed.
Originally from Colorado, Barker previously served as the Director of Nursing at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital. She has eighteen years experience in healthcare, six of which are at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital and her management style focuses on creating a team oriented organization that focuses on Pawnee Valley Community Hospital’s Mission Vision and values.
Barker earned an A.D.N. from Trinidad State University, Alamosa, CO and both a B.S.N. and M.S.N in Leadership and Management from Walden University. Prior to Director of Nursing, Barker served as a phlebotomist, radiology receptionist, certified nurse aid, emergency medical technician, CPR instructor from the American Red Cross and a registered nurse.
She is involved in Pawnee County Family and Community Education Committee and a member of the Larned Indian Booster Club.
