Rain And Thunderstorms Likely Tonight

As a strong upper level disturbance moves into western Kansas tonight, some severe thunderstorms are possible.

A warm front will lift northward out of Texas and Oklahoma late tonight with the best chances for storms after midnight. Other isolated thunderstorms are possible in the late afternoon and evening. Large hail up to the size of golfballs are possible along with an isolated tornado.

Today: A slight chance of showers before 10am, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 82. Southeast wind 6 to 9 mph increasing to between 15 and 18 mph. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. Southeast wind between 15 and 17 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Friday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 72. Breezy, with a southeast wind 17 to 20 mph becoming northwest.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 43. Breezy, with a north northwest wind 18 to 21 mph decreasing to between 9 and 12 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 67. North northeast wind between 7 and 11 mph.

Saturday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 44.

Sunday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 61.

Sunday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50.
