For a second time this season, Fort Hays State javelin thrower Makayla McPhail is the MIAA’s Field Athlete of the Week. The Liberal sophomore won the Fort Hays State Open Saturday and for the fifth time this season, hit an automatic qualifying mark with her best distance of the season at 154’ 10”.

Mark Riordon is the men’s Field Athlete of the Week after winning both the triple jump at the FHSU Open with provisional qualifying marks in both.
