TOPEKA – The next Kansas Department of Labor Small Business Workshops will be:

• Wed., April 25, 2018 at noon in Colby
• Thu., April 26, 2018 at noon in Hays

The Colby workshop will be at the Thomas County Office Complex and the Hays workshop will be at the Sternberg Museum.

Prospective and existing employers will learn:

• Unemployment Insurance (UI) Tax Liabilities
• Process to Apply for a UI Tax Account
• New Hire Reporting Requirements
• State Information Data Exchange System (SIDES and SIDES E-Response)
• The difference between classifying a worker as an employee or independent contractor
