HAYS, Kan.-Hays High scored two first half goals and shut out Wichita Trinity 2-0 on Thursday evening at the Hays High Field. The win snapped a three match losing streak for the Lady Indians. Savannah Schneider scored the first goal in the 8th minute when she used her left foot to shoot it by the Trinity goalie. Kallie Leiker tallied the second Lady Indian goal in the 36th minute off a pass from Schneider.

Hays was able to keep the Knights away from the goal most of the match thanks to some good ball control and solid defense. The Lady Indians improve to 9-6-1 and will host a first round playoff game on Monday at 5pm.
