Hays added two insurance runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, eventually winning 5-2.
Taylor Renz and Austin Unrein each had two singles in the game.

With two already across in the first inning Taylor Renz belted a two out two RBI double to push the score to 4-0.
Salina Central would have chances to score, loading the bases in each the second and third inning. The Mustangs had the bases loaded with only one out in the second but flied out to right field and struck out to end the threat.
In the third, pitcher Austin Unrein hit a batter and walked two, loading the bases with two outs, but a diving stop by first baseman Trevor Henningson stalled the Mustang attack. The Indians retired the next ten batters while Hays scored one run in the third, two in the fifth and then three to end the game in the sixth.
Austin Unrein ended the game with a two run home run sending the Indians to Wichita. Unrein moved to 4-1 on the season.
