DICKINSON COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating after two men died in an accident just after 9:30p.m. Saturday in Dickinson County.

A 2009 Yamaha golf cart driven by Lucas Hicks, 28, Herrington, was southbound in the 500 Block of Rain Road, three miles southeast of Hope in rural southern Dickinson County, according to Undersheriff James Swisher.
The golf cart made an abrupt turn on the gravel road in front of a northbound Chevy Silverado driven by Craig Banman, 27, Hillsboro, according to Swisher.
The pickup hit the front quarter panel of the golf cart.
Hicks and a passenger Casey Schardein, 26, Hope, were pronounced dead at the scene. They were transported to Kansas City pending autopsy. Banman was not injured and released after questioning.
All three had been attending a bachelor party and knew each other, according to Swisher. The initial investigating indicated alcohol may have played a part in the accident.
