June Lyon Thomas was born in Smith Center. KS on Dec. 24, 1930. She passed away on Aug 18, 2018 at the Smith County Memorial Hospital, Smith Center, KS

June was 1 of 5 children, growing up on a farm in the Reamsville area graduating from the Smith Center High. She then went to business school in Lincoln, NE. followed by moving to CA where she met her husband Robert Thomas. They were united in marriage on Jan. 2, 1959.

She worked for the city of Palo Alto, CA until she and Bob started their own business Excel Fabrication in Sunnyvale, CA.

In May of 2012 she moved back to Smith Center, where she could be closer to family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, mother and father Rex and Eleanor Lyon and Brothers Melvin Lyon, Max Lyon, Elvin “Jiggs” Lyon, one sister Erma Lanus.
