Indian girls’ golf edges Monarchs for second at HHS Invite

HAYS, Kan. – Both the Hays High and TMP-Marian girls’ golf teams shot a 217 Monday on a warm and windy day at the Hays High Invitational hosted by the Smoky Hill Country Club. The Indians finish second and the Monarchs third after a fifth score tie-breaker.

Garden City won the team title with a 205.

The Monarchs Shannen Chen shot a 39 and finished second, one stroke behind Garden City’s Alyssa McMillen. Hays High’s Brittini Park was fifth with a 52 while teammate Sophia Garrison finished seventh with a 53. Avin Inlow claimed 10th for the Monarchs after shooting a 56.
