NESS CITY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating a fatal shooting in Ness County.

Just before 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to 911 call in the 400 block of South Iowa in Ness City, according to a media release.
First responders found a man identified as 26-year-old Tevin “T.J.” Freel with an apparent gunshot wound.
Freel was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the release.
There is no threat to the public, according to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
