Free children’s Halloween concert by Hays Symphony Orchestra
Sunday, October 28th at 3:00 p.m. join us for the Hays Symphony’s performance at Beach-Schmidt Performing Arts Center!

A children’s adaptation by nationally-recognized playwright Catherine Trieschmann

Set in the dark forests of Russia, Prince Ivan fights the evil sorcerer Koschei with the help of the magical Firebird, to free the enchanted animals and princesses. In this new retelling of Stravinsky’s ballet, youth and adult actors and dancers from the area will enact the story while the Hays Symphony performs the Firebird music.
Join us in your Halloween costumes for a fun afternoon of story, song, theater, and music for the whole family.
Music starts at 3:00 p.m.
Pre-Concert Family Fun Activities, starting at 2:00 p.m., include:
-Halloween Costume Parade for all ages
-Instrument Petting Zoo
-Firebird Craft
-Russian Folktale story hour
