When a proposal for inspection of the levee was brought to the Hays City Commission in May, the commissioners asked to request proposals from more companies. City staff did that and is still recommending Wilson and Company.
The commission Thursday night asked about the purpose for the inspection, and City Manager Toby Dougherty says knowing the levee’s condition will paint a better picture of the city’s overall stormwater and flood prevention needs.
The commission will consider a contract with Wilson and Company next week in the amount of $19,800.
