Ina Marie Goodnight, 84, of Oberlin, passed away Friday, November 30, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society of Oberlin, Kansas.
Ina Marie, aka Sis by family and Scotty to friends, was born May 29, 1934 to Goldie Ola Scott and Clara Elizabeth (Allacher) Scott in rural Oberlin, Kansas.
Ina graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1952. She lived her whole life starting out waitressing, farming and raising her children. She and Bill spent 40 years working the Dirt Business and the farm together. She loved the farm life, her milk cows, living in the country and being outside.
Ina Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; daughter, Wanda; grandson, Eric Farr; brothers: Gene and Dwayne and two infant sisters.
She is survived by sisters: Doris Fringer of Oberlin, KS, Janice Kurth of Imperial, NE, Linda (Dick) Weber of Oberlin, KS, Judy Scott of Ridgeland, SC; brothers: Dennis (Geneva) Scott of Lubbock, TX and Ronald (Chris) Scott of Washington, KS; daughters: Rhonda (Mick) Barth of Oberlin, KS, Valerie Faris of Oberlin, KS and son, Mitch (Rhonda) Pickett of Hays Center, NE; grandchildren: Micki Hodgens, Megan Combs, Tyson Nicholson, Chris Barth, David Barth, Chancey Pickett, Morgan Rodgers, Yolanda Cogburn, Bruce King, Matt Farr and Wiley Farr and 25 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service is planned for Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Oberlin United Methodist Church.
