SALINA, Kan. – Stockton’s Brady Beougher shot a 7-over-par 77 and finished third at the 1A State Golf Tournament Wednesday at the Salina Municipal Golf Course. The senior recorded four bogeys and three birdies on the back nine and won a playoff with Frankfort’s Aiden Gerstner to claim third place.
Central Plains Alex Hickel overcame two double-bogeys and a bogey on the back nine and finished runner-up with a 6-over-par 76, one shot behind individual champ Eli Bullinger of Montezuma-South Gray.
Lathe Watkins of Osborne lost a playoff with Kate Tilma of the Classical School in Wichita and finished seventh. Watkins shot an 8-over-par 78.
Osborne shot a 340 and finished second, four shots behind Frankfort. Atwood was sixth with a 371 and Stockton 12th with a 398.
