HAYS – The Hays Larks scored five runs in the fourth inning to break open a two-run game and beat Dodge City 8-3 Tuesday night at Larks Park.
Christian Pearcy (2-0) picked up the win in his second start of the season. The Rockford University (Ill.) product allowed only one run while scattering nine hits over five innings. Pearcy struck out nine and walked two.
Mikey Gangwish doubled twice and Matt Cavanagh had two RBIs.
The Larks (4-1, 3-0 KCLB) will try to make it four in-a-row over the A’s when they play at Cavalier Field in Dodge City Wednesday at 7 p.m.
