A Hays man was among two men injured in a motorcycle accident on K-23 near Grainfield, Saturday around 11:05 am.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 53-year-old Mitchell McCall of Woodston, KS, was southbound on K-23. 62-year-old William L. Zimmerman of Hays was also southbound, behind McCall.

When McCall hit his brakes, Zimmerman collided with him. Zimmerman then laid his motorcycle over and skidded along the roadway. McCall entered the West ditch and was thrown from the motorcycle.

Both men were transported to Gove County Medical Center with injuries. Their conditions were not immediately available.
