Saturday and Sunday’s Police Activity Log

The Hays Police Department conducted 21 traffic stops and responded to two animal calls on Saturday, according to the Police Activity Log.

Thefts: There were two reports of general thefts investigated by the Hays PD on Saturday. The first occurred in the 700 block of Elm Street early Saturday morning. The second was reported just after three o’clock Saturday afternoon in the 200 block of West 7th Street.

Vehicle Accidents: Hays Police officers investigated three motor vehicle accidents on Saturday. The first accident was reported at 29th and Vine Street just after 10am. Officers also investigated two motor vehicle accidents involving private property on Saturday. The first was reported in the 2900 block of Vine Street, at The Mall and the second occurred in the 4300 block of Vine Street, at Wal-Mart Superstore.

On Sunday the Hays Police Department conducted 19 traffic stops and responded to four animal calls.

Thefts: Officers investigated a general theft case in the 500 block of West 7th Street at Chuck’s Bar early Sunday morning. Hays Police Officers also investigated the theft of a bicycle in the 1900 block of Walnut Street early Sunday.

Battery: Sunday afternoon the Hays Police Department responded to a call in the 3100 block of Thunderbird Circle for a disturbance. When officers arrived they began to investigate the incident as a case of domestic battery that occurred just after two o’clock Sunday afternoon.

DUI: The Hays PD conducted a traffic stop resulting in a driving under the influence case in the 1100 block of Fort Street Sunday morning.

Officers also investigated a motor vehicle accident involving private property, in the 2200 block of Canterbury Drive at Hays Medical Center just after 12:30 Sunday morning.

Criminal Damage: Officers responded to an incident involving criminal damage to property and criminal trespass in the 3700 block of Thunderbird Drive. The incident is believed to have occurred between Saturday and Sunday morning.
