The Hays Police Department conducted 11 traffic stops and responded to seven animal calls on Monday, according to the Hays Police Activity Log.

Theft: The Hays Police Department investigated two incidents of theft on Monday. Officers responded to a suspicious activity call in the 100 block of East 15th Street Monday evening. When officers arrived they began to investigate the incident as a general theft case. Hays PD also investigated a case of identity theft in the 2500 block of Sherman Avenue.

Officers investigated a stalking/harassment case in the 1900 block of Vine Street at Dillons Sunday evening.

Vehicle Accidents: Officers responded to a pair of motor vehicle accidents on Monday afternoon. The first incident happened at Centennial Boulevard and 183 Highway early Monday afternoon. The second accident also happened Monday afternoon at 18th Street and Vine Street.

Hays PD officers conducted a driving under the influence traffic stop in the 700 block of Park Street early Monday morning.
