On Friday the Hays Police Department responded to seven animal calls and conducted 15 traffic stops, according to the Hays Police Activity Log.
Motor Vehicle Accidents: The Hays Police Department received four motor vehicle accident calls on Friday. The first accident occurred at 37th and Vine Street at 12:00 am. Two of the accidents involved private property. Just after 11 am there was an accident in the 2900 block of Vine Street, at The Mall. Another accident happened to the 500 block of West 27th Street, at Dillons North. The final accident was reported in the 2800 block ofVine Street Friday afternoon.
Thefts/Burglary: The Hays PD conducted an investigation into a vehicle burglary in the 1300 block of East 33rd Street Friday afternoon. The Hays Police Department also received three theft calls on Friday. The first theft report was credit card violations in the 3600 block of Vine Street at Ramada Inn early Friday morning. Another incident was reported in the 200 block of East 15th Street Friday night.
The final report of theft was in the 4300 block of Vine Street, at Wal-Mart Superstore. Officers also investigated a drug related offense in connection with the theft case. Another drug offense was reported in the 3600 block ofVine Street, at Ramada Inn, Friday evening.
Water Violations: There were two water violations on Friday. The first violation happened in the 1200 block of Maple Street. The second was in the 1700 block ofDonald Drive.
Assault: The Hays PD investigated an unlawful use of a weapon in connection with an aggravated assault in the 100 block of West 7th Street just before1 am Monday.
Harassment: Police officers began an investigation into a harassment case by telephone of fax in the 500 block of West 21st Street. The incident was alleged to have happened between Thursday and Friday night.
Disturbance: Just after 10:15 p.m. Friday night the Hays Police department responded to a call in the 200 block of East 4th atLarksPark, for a disturbance and disorderly conduct.
