The Hays Police Department received 10 animal calls and conducted seven traffic stops on Friday, according to the Hays Police Activity Log.
Theft/Burglary: The Hays Police Department received three reports of burglary or theft on Friday. The first incident was reported as a theft of a vehicle in 1200 block of East 43rd Street, at BOS Motor Sports. The alleged theft is believed to have occurred between Thursday evening and Friday morning.
Officers also investigated a report of shop lifting in the 4300 block of Vine Street, Friday afternoon and a report of general theft in the 500 block of West 27th, at the North Dillons Friday evening.
Motor Vehicle Accidents: The Hays Police Department responded to three motor vehicle accidents on Friday. The first accident happened in the 500 block of West 27th Friday morning. Another accident involving private property was reported in the 800 block of East 8th Street Friday afternoon. The final accident was reported Friday evening in the 700 block of Vine Street.
Drug Offenses: The Hays PD investigated a drug related offense in the 3400 block of Vine Street, at Motel 6, Friday afternoon.
Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance/fight in the 700 block of East 6th Street late Friday night. When officers arrived they began to investigate the incident as a domestic disturbance.
