After the game Friday night, the Royals announced that they have optioned rookie Danny Duffy to Triple-A Omaha so that he could keep pitching on a regular schedule during next week’s All-Star break. He is expected to be called up in time for his next schedule start on July 19 th. The Royals plan to recall Everett Teaford in time for Friday night’s game.
